In the beginning there was realization

I don’t think I’m so far off the mark when I say we need a Robin Hood to help us move forward.  When the band of merry men were declared outlaws, they moved into the forest and built a small community and continued the battle.  We all know the story well.  Random acts of kindness mingled with a little anarchy made a difference to the way things were back then, and may be useful especially now.  From the various men who stood up for their country, the legend of Robin Hood began to grow and circulate.
The time is coming when we need to put our foot down and make a big stand.  It's groups like Occupy Nanaimo that give me hope that things are really going to change.  To meet a group of people whose hopes and dreams so closely resemble mine speaks volumes about the changes in thinking, especially over the last decade.  We need to look for alternatives to what is being offered by the government, or figure out how they can be held accountable for their actions with our finances, the tax monies we entrust to them to manage for us, so our economy can boom and we can afford to make ends meet and not live pay check to pay check.  We are not asking for miracles, just a chance to live a life without worry.  There is plenty for all, how do we go about sharing it?
Please share your thoughts and ideas.

  1. While I was reading your blog, I was amazed by how similar our thoughts are. I've often felt that we are dire need of some sort of vigilante justice when it comes to bankers, government officials, major criminals, etc.
This is only the beginning of the Occupy Movement. After all, it was only globally born 26 days ago. As time progresses and more of the masses begin to feel the pinch of the man, it will only lead to success. Justice will eventually be served, whether its by a small group of people or the masses.

  3. There is nothing wrong with dreams, and with a little work, they can become reality. The Occupy Movement will not fail, we have only just begun.
